No appointment needed. Walk in Monday through Saturday during business hours and results are transmitted electronically to the DMV within minutes.
What does a smog check cost?
$59.75 flat — same price whether it's a standard smog check, STAR test-only, diesel, hybrid, out-of-state, or change-of-ownership. State certificate fee applies separately and goes to the DMV, not us.
Are you a STAR station?
Yes. Brand Smog Check Center is a fully STAR Certified Test-Only station at 1717 S Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91204. If your DMV renewal notice says your vehicle has to be inspected at a STAR station, you can bring it straight here — and if it doesn’t, the test and the price are the same anyway.
